This is missions month at the local church we attend in Guatemala. Last Sunday the chairman of the missions committee interviewed Loida Pascual, a SETECA student and daughter of SETECA alumni who work in Spain and are supported by our church. Loida was explaining that she came to SETECA to prepare for what she feels God is calling her to do, and that is to be a Bible translator. In the middle of the interview her parents appeared on the screen, and we had a live report from them! What a moving moment as they shared that they had 20 people in their morning church service and that a young couple had accepted the Lord as their personal Savior! We rejoice with them that this couple are now children of God, and thank Him for the way He is using the Pascuals in Spain.
That sums up the reason why SETECA exists, to train leaders for His work. Thank you for your partnership with us in this great task that the Lord has given us all to do. Also thank you for your prayers for the students and staff at SETECA. Graduation will be held on September 19th; we would appreciate your prayers as the graduates move on to the place of ministry that the Lord has for them.
We are grateful for the privilege of helping to train people like Loida who will go out to serve the Lord and make a difference for His glory. And we are thankful for your partnership in our ministry here through your financial investment and your prayers.
