Men’s Ministry at Immanuel Bible Church exists to help us “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 3:18) by helping men grow in their understanding of God’s Word while moving deeper into Christ-centered community in the local church.
Men’s Bible Studies
Men’s Bible Studies at IBC emphasize the inductive Bible study method so that God’s Word is at the center of our time together. And as we gather we strive to encourage one another in our unique seasons of life, helping one another apply God’s Word to our various circumstances. As we study together we are reminded that “the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword” (Heb. 4:12) and able to build us up into maturity in Christ.
We regularly provide opportunities for men to fellowship, grow in our faith, serve, and simply walk with Christ together. Some of these opportunities include men’s breakfasts, outdoor activities, work days, retreats, and more.
Women’s Ministries at IBC exist to encourage women to worship our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ through the study and application of Scripture.
Our various ministries are the following:
- Seasonal Bible studies: some exegetical, some topical
- An annual spring Women’s Retreat
- September Sisters (mature women’s group)
- Worship Team
- Prayer Ministry
- Fellowship Activities
As you review the different growth opportunities, you’ll find that whether you are single or married, in every season of life, there is a spiritual home and sweet fellowship here for you.
Join us for Women’s Bible Study! Beginning March 14, 2021, we’ll be reading the book Joy of Fearing God by Jerry Bridges. In addition to being a Women’s Bible Study, it is also an All Church read. Contact Jeannie Bargen for more information.
September Sisters is a group of mature women, loving, encouraging and supporting each other while focusing on serving the Lord. The September Sisters are in a season when a fruitful life is re-defining itself with new energy, with new discretionary freedom to invest in meaningful relationships, and activities that serves our community and church family.
Some of the activities have included: after church lunches, walks, service projects, picnics, potlucks, visiting the sick and home-bound sisters. Hebrews 10:23-25 expresses their goal to provide opportunities for women to build their faith, show God’s love and to develop strong relationships with other Christian women. Their desire is to love, encourage and motivate each other through times of fellowship, enjoyment, prayer, work and service.
Once a year, we have the opportunity to break away from our routine to refresh our spirit. Immanuel Bible Church has a history of 53 years of women’s retreats.
