Life in Christ Jesus for Every Neighbor and the World

Values

To be Transformed Together

  • Dynamic Bible Teaching
    • We delight in studying the Bible, God’s inerrant Word.  We believe that it is the primary source for spiritual truth, the final authority on all matters of faith and life and has the power to transform lives.  (2 Timothy 3:16,17; Hebrews 4:12)
  • Passionate Prayer
    • We believe that continual prayer is absolutely necessary for fruitful ministry.  We are passionately committed to ongoing prayer for God’s direction and blessing as we seek to do His will.  (Luke 10:2; Colossians 4:2-4; 2 Thessalonians 3:1)
  • Robust Worship
    • We believe congregational worship should reflect the majesty and glory of the One who created and redeemed us.  Whether it’s contemporary praise music or rich hymns from church history, we want to sing Truth from the depths of our hearts: “How great is our God.” (cf. Psalm 47, 98; Colossians 3:16)

To Demonstrate the Heart of Jesus Together

  • Our Neighbors and Our World
    • We believe that all people matter to God, both locally and globally; therefore, they matter to us.  We are devoted to the good news of Jesus Christ, the only message of life for the world and are dedicated to the command of taking this message to those who need it regardless of whether they live next door or on the next continent.  (Matthew 13:44-46; 28:18-20; Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
  • Leadership Development
    • We affirm that leadership in the church is a gift given by the Spirit of God.  We will seek to encourage, affirm, train and disciple all those who demonstrate leadership gifts to prepare them for larger spheres of ministry influence.  (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1:7-9; Ephesians 4:11-12)
  • Faithful Service
    • We believe every believer is spiritually gifted and is called to exercise that giftedness for the building up of the church body.  God has called us to go into our neighborhoods, work places and schools to be effective witnesses for Christ.  It is our goal to serve on another in Christ’s love through word and deed.  We strive to be salt and light, with an emphasis on service to our local community.  (Matthew 5:13-16; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11)

To Glorify God Together

  • Strong Families
    • We recognize that strong churches come from strong families and seek to strengthen the Kingdom by securing the home.  We strive to equip parents and children to have healthy family relationships within a biblical family model.  We also want to invite and encourage singles of all ages to find a very real sense of family within our church. (Psalm 127; Ephesians 6:4; Ephesians 5:33; Exodus 20:12)
  • Bold Youth
    • Our youth are the next generation of our church and the future ministers of God’s continuing work in this world.  With this in mind we strive to train and teach our youth to know who they are in Christ, to confidently follow the God of the Bible, and boldly set and example for all. (1 Timothy 4:12; Psalm 144:12; Jeremiah 1:6-8; Psalm 119:9)
  • Intentional Fellowship
    • We believe that authentic biblical community, characterized by honest relationships and unconditional love, should be the normal experience for every believer.  We understand the necessity of living holy lives.  We acknowledge our responsibility to stimulate one another to love and good deeds through both one-on-one fellowship and group fellowship inside and outside the church.  (John 15:12; Galatians 6:1-2; Hebrews 10:19-25)
