Who We Are

Every church has a culture.

Immanuel Bible Church is a Word-centered church. Every church has it’s “thing” (social-centered or growth-focused or service-oriented, as so on). Immanuel is focused on the Word of God.

This means that we are an “equipping” church. Because God’s power is in His Word, we see that power unleashed when we teach it and preach it. Expository preaching is our preaching style. Teachers spend a good deal of time and energy in preparation. Doctrine matters.

As a result, once filled, God’s people respond. We serve, pray, and give. We have what we need for evangelism, hospitality, and fellowship. Leaders can provide soul care and relationships may be nurtured. We are complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Tim 3:17)

In Psalm 119:105 David writes “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” At Immanuel Bible Church, the lamp occupies the center of our culture. We are an equipping church, a teaching church, a church where God’s people come to grow.
