Our Experience at Immanuel

Let us tell you up front.

We aren’t perfect people.

We both came out of a lifestyle that embodied biblical truth: “indulging the desires of our flesh and of the mind, by nature children of wrath.” (Ephesians 2:3)

But God is a merciful God! He reached into our lives and changed us. Now, we are sovereignly stumbling toward the kingdom. We’ve found others just like us–people indelibly changed by Jesus Christ, people who love the Lord. People who love us.

At Immanuel Bible Church, we’ve found a church family. We’re found people who share our experiences: the trials of parenting, the challenges of marriage, the joys of serving in the local church. Immanuel is filled with people just like us–people just like you–imperfect people who are irrevocably on their way to heaven. People sovereignly stumbling toward the kingdom.

Pastor Michael is married to Heather. God has blessed them with four children, ages 0-11. Michael grew up in rural Pennsylvania; God graciously saved him out of a dark life while living in Phoenix. He attended Arizona Christian University and the Master’s Seminary; experience includes ministry at Grace Community Church (Los Angeles, CA) and the First Baptist Church of Wellsburg (WV). He enjoys coffee, grilled foods, and Philadelphia sports. He’d love to treat you to any of these things (is the last one a treat?!). His greatest joy is serving others in the same way His precious Lord has served him.
